Kukeri - Bulgarian traditional masquerade monsters

The Odrysian First Nation fell to the Persians by 560 BC and the Romans in 46 BC, it united many earlier Thracian First Nations. Their worship of Dionysus and theater tradition was widely adopted by successor states. To this day every lent in Bulgaria, Romania thru Greece, goats are sacrificed to make Kukeri costumes to celebrate the rebirth of farm crops each year. Similarly, Dionysus died and was reborn to his Father in heaven. He was celebrated with a ritual meal of bread and wine.
