Air Fryer Chicken Tenders - No Breading
20K views · 372 reactions | Easy Air Fryer Chicken Tenders | Ready in minutes, Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are crisp, family-friendly, and easy to make. Enjoy the taste of fried chicken without fussing with hot oil... | By Preppy Kitchen | Hey, I'm John Cannell and today on Preppy Kitchen, we're making some easy, delicious air fryer chicken tenders. So, let's get started. First off, grab two pounds of chicken tenders and you want to give them a nice pat with paper towels so they're really dry. If they're wet, they're not going to hold on to the egg and the breading will add later. The glue that'll hold everything together is two large eggs. Crack them into a shallow dish and we're going to give them a mix. Give the eggs a light beat so everything is nice and mixed up. In another shallow dish, I'm going to combine cups of panko breadcrumbs. You can add any of your favorite seasonings to make this recipe your own but a good place to start is 1 teaspoon of paprika, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Okay, there we go. Mix it up so it's nice and combined. You can add chili powder to make this spicy. You could add any of your favorite dried herbs. It's really up to you. My dredging stations are all set up except I have not seasoned the chicken tenders. Sprinkle evenly with salt and pepper and I'm using about one and1/ 2 teaspoons of salt and about 3/ 4 of a teaspoon of pepper but really you want a nice even coating flip all the pieces over and repeat. Now, working a tender or two at a time, we're going to dip each one in our egg mixture, let the excess drip off, and then we're going to press those bread crumbs over. Plot that onto a lined baking sheet just to hang out and now we're going to repeat that for the rest of our chicken tenders but once I have half of my chicken tenders done, I'm going to go to the air fryer and get started with that and then finish the rest. Unless you have two air fryers. Just before you start dredging, preheat your air fryer to 400 Fahrenheit. That's a little bit loud so I'm going to have it off but when you do it in the kitchen, preheat to save time. My air fryer is nice and hot so open it up and spray the basket with a bit of oil and now we're going to spray the tops of our chicken tenders. This is an olive oil mist and it is also a must have if you're air frying anything. It's super convenient. You can also buy the refillable misters which I had but I but mine broke. Someone dropped it. It wasn't me. Place the sprayed side face down in your air fryer and you want to leave a little bit of room for the air to circulate, don't pack these chicken tenders in and now, spray the top again and we're going to bake at 400 for 6 minutes for the first side. Then, we flip it over. Alright, we're right back. After 6 minutes, ooh, this looks so good. We're just going to flip these over and cook them for about five more minutes so they're cooked all the way through and golden all over. Out of the air fryer and just cool enough to touch, these guys are going to go in a flash. Really, really good flavor throughout and so crunchy on the outside but tender and amazing on the inside.
