But, we can trick the eye into thinking your walls are taller. . We have nine foot ceilings downstairs and eight foot ceilings upstairs. . And that hallway was a forgotten BLAH space that lacked both style and attention. . We tend toward darker wall colors but we went with white in here for two reasons: 1) the white against the black door stackups is AWESOME. 2) this space will eventually have very limited natural light as we plan on closing in a space in front of it. . But back to those door stackups. . By painting it all one color and taking it to the ceiling: they look taller. . AND they look like there must be something AMAZING beyond that door. . And we’re going to start working on that part soon-ish. As soon as we’re done with the downstairs. . Which might take a while. . This project took us a little over a month to finish last year (we started right before Christmas 2023, and the busy holiday season definitely slowed down our progress!) It’s been almost a year since we finished this project, and it is holding up SO well!
