Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) Mixed Media

Our first project of the new year, because it is dark, grey and gloomy in Germany in January, is a Norther Lights project! What a vibrant, cheery way to begin our new semester.... and what a gorgeous and complicated natural phenomenon to wrap our heads around. There are many different ways to produce the aurora lights using chalk, but I opted for this method, which I discovered through my Instagram art teacher community.
