Duramax Common Rail Injector aE) Teva This bulletin covers how to choose the correct injector for the 2004.5 — 2010 GM 6.6L Duramax applications with engine RPO codes LLY, LBZ, and LMM. Since the injectors are visually nearly identical, and more than one engine RPO is used in some model years, care must be used in selecting the correct injector to purchase ‘The eighth and tenth characters of the VIN are needed to select the correct injector. The eighth character will identify the engine RPO and the tenth character the modal year. ch ‘There are two diferent versions ofthe LLY engine. The fist was used in model years 2008.5 ~ 2008 and the second n 2008 ~ 2007. Both are identified wih a2" in the eighth character poston of the VIN. For the 2006 ~ 2007 model years he engine was updated and uses he LBZ injector. In model year 2007, the LLY, LBZ, and LMM engines were used. Use the eighth character of the VIN to identify the engine. In model year 2010 G series vans, the LMM and LGH engines are used.
