The recorded music industry has been undergoing serious changes for the last ten years in Cameroon. The advent of internet and new information technologies and social network led to the dematerialization of media, new consumption habits. In the past, the public should go to music at a record store (a distributor) and the media would act as a prescriber who decided who and why he will play. Today is the music that comes to the consumer. Exhibited daily with a multitude of works on various online platforms (deezer, sportify, sound cloud, apple music, tide…) everyone had now the right to choose what he will play and traditional medias are not the only prescriber. This role is now up to influencer, whistleblowers, bloggers and the magazine.
