The example and readme all show usage of methods marked as deprecated.
And if I try and use them, it says "use the replacement", and I am not finding a replacement :)
For example how do I style the links, in the same manner as implied by the linkStyle argument which has been deprecated?

You are correct. The library is in the middle of being updated from 0.11.x to 1.0.0, so the documentation is for an older version. See the migration guide for information on using 1.0.0.
