This seems to be a recurring point of confusion among new users, including myself about 8 months ago.

uiGmapGoogleMapApi should not be used to wait for directives to finish augmenting control objects. uiGmapIsReady should be used instead.

Something like this in an alert-ish box directly under the main descriptive text on the GoogleMapApi doc page might help. It probably wouldn't hurt to put the exact same alert on the IsReady doc page, too.

Unless someone beats me to it, I might find some time to PR this. Unfortunately, I'm a little overextended to do it soon. (I'm also still one of "those users" who has only participated on issue comments and hasn't actually forked/PR'd anything yet... sigh... Is it finally time for me to learn how to GitHub?)

An experienced collaborator might like to knock this out quickly. Plz plz :-)
