I've noticed a strange behavior with the generic thermostat card and Ecobee 3 lites where if you update the temp value in such a way that it would conflict with the minimum temp difference between heating and cooling, it will just fail to update the temp at all. It would be nice if we could mimic the limitation on the HA side, enforcing the same distance between heating and cooling values to ensure that the command goes through. For example, if set to 68 for heating and 73 for cooling (with a 5 degree limit), then changing the heating value to 69 should cause the cooling temp to become 74.
