Feedback

The current search bar in the documentation (https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/) often returns limited or unrelated results, even when using clear keywords. This can make it frustrating for users—especially newcomers—to find what they’re looking for, such as configuration options, integration setup guides, or basic explanations.

I’d suggest improving the search experience by either:

Integrating a more robust search engine (like Algolia or a Google-powered site search), or

Indexing more content and improving the relevance of results returned.

Even a simple improvement like showing related articles or keyword suggestions could make a big difference for user navigation.

Additional information

This feedback is based on my personal experience trying to locate topics like "image_entity", "Zigbee card visualization", and specific integration setup steps, which were either hard to find or not returned in the search at all. Improving this would help contributors and users find documentation faster and reduce confusion for new users.
