Hello!

I have vips 8.13.1 installed from Centos packages. If I understand correctly, it doesn't support images stored in the heic format:
magick2vips: libMagick error: no decode delegate for this image format HEIC @ error/constitute.c/ReadImage/576

vips --vips-config shows:

HEIC/AVIF load/save with libheif: no (dynamic module: no)

I was wondering if it's possible to enable this feature by installing additional libraries?
Or do I need to compile vips from source?

Hello, I would find an rpm with this feature enabled. I think Remi's build of libvips has this turned on:

Or build from source yourself, of course.

It says HEIC/AVIF load/save with libheif : YES (dynamic module: NO) but for some reason I still get this error when trying to transform the image:

Am I missing something here?

I suppose you're setting PKG_CONFIG_PATH?

I am able to read other file types though. Eg I only have problems with heic/heif.
