Given that @jdh2358 and @mdboom already did the hard work, is there any reason to not include a link to the matplotlib chapter of The Architecture of Open Source Applications book

I'm just not sure where it makes the most sense to put it. Perhaps we should create a "resources" page which would include pointers to this, to Sandro Tosi's book, to various MPL tutorials and talks that have been given over the years. The IPython website has this type of thing going on, and I think it works rather well.
