As per bpo-42515, I think we could make the "Syncing with Upstream" section of the git bootcamp more accessible for new contributors. The ideas are:

  1. Rename section to "Updating your CPython fork" to make it easier to understand and find through a search engine
  2. Point to Get the source code for a way to clone that configures the upstream to python/cpython and therefore allows the commands given (in "Syncing with Upstream") to work correctly
  3. Note (somewhere) that creating pull requests from python:master to username:master is a bad idea as it pings a lot of the devs unnecessarily
