Should we add a badge for azure to the readme, and maybe remove some of the other ones that accumulated (appveyor?).

Sure, if we're keeping this setup. We should also update the developer docs which list our CI setups

yeah. I haven't used the azure pipeline interface much but it seems well integrated and the 30 concurrent builds and having everything on one platform seems pretty sweet?
