I have been working on migrating the Turbolinks gem as a component for this Symfony issue. I built a Stack middleware for it, but I am not sure if it really is one since there is a hard dependency on the JavaScript for the middleware to work.

One possibility could be the middleware injecting the javascript code into responses similar to this rack gem.

Either way, I was just checking to see if it should be added to the site.
