I know that this Cookbook page was not requested. I just figured I would write it up and submit it. I hope this helps.

Hmm, I doubt if it's not a too small topic for a cookbook article. What about placing it as a description of the session.save_path in reference/configuration/framework"?

Hi Kevin!

I've merged this article in with some tweaks (including tweaks that Wouter mentioned) at sha: 4b8a70b. I agree with Wouter that this is much shorter than our normal cookbook articles and I also considered moving it into the reference section. But, in general, we're pushing now towards having more, shorter entries. So, I've kept this in the cookbook, and linked to it from the reference section. Having it as its own article should also make it more findable from the web.
