The Spyder IPython Console is not started up if the WinPython is installed in a shared folder under Virtualbox Environment. The shared folder is \vboxsvr\folder\ and mapped to a drive letter say v: in the virtualbox client environment. Then the WinPython is extracted to the v:\winpython folder. Most of the thing is fine in running such as command prompt, python IDE and etc and Spyder can be started up but not the IPython Console inside the Spyder.

the ipython console inside spyder as always be a problem for spyder, maybe try with latest release and spyder-6.0.5
