Strawberry Cake Cookies

Tasty dump cake! | Tasty dump cake! These cakes never disappoint! | By Southern Sweets | Alright, y'all. We have two cans of strawberry pie filling. We're just going to dump this in. Our greased 9 by 13 bacon dish, alright? I'm going to scrape all this extra goop out, this jelly stuff. I love this stuff. Alright, there we go and one more. So y'all we're making a dump cake but we're making like a new and improved, delicious, better dump cake, alright? It's a little bit like fancier. So, I'm a big fan of dump cakes. It's easy if you need to you know, make a dessert in a pinch. Real easy to do but this one's like like a little more sophistic. Let's say that like a fun one okay there we go so we're going to move this to the side we have an eight inch eight I'm making myself laugh at my stupid jokes y'all 8 ounce brick of cream cheese I warmed it up in the microwave we going to add a little bit of powdered sugar to this I don't know a tablespoon or two Alright and then we also going to add a little bit of almond extract. Just a little bit a teaspoon at the most. This stuff a little bit goes a long way. So there we go. Boop. That's it. That's enough. And then you know what else I forgot? A little bit of milk. We need like a tablespoon or two of milk in here. Alright. So this again I make this powdered sugar cream cheese glaze quite often. It's super easy. But yeah the milk you just kind of add it so it's the right consistency. So I actually think I added enough. Yep this is perfect. We go give this a good mix and yeah that little bit of almond extract I use you can really smell it it's so good my mama used to make pound cake and she would put almond extract in it and I just love it it's one of my favorite smells y'all think it would be weird if I wore almond extract as a perfume I like it I think it smells good what do you all think alright perfect that's just perfect just like that alright so now we going to do here we going to take I'm going to take this mixture I'm just going to put some blobs I think feel like I made a video the other day where I was using that word blob. I like that word. It's fun to say. I'm going to put these little blobs all over our strawberries, alright? So, I think we're going to do about eight. If y'all want to spread it out, you can. Whatever. Don't matter. I think it's fun if it's like this but I know some of y'all, you know, you you like things to be spread out and stuff but y'all know, y'all know my style. I just kind of like throw everything in and hope for the best. That's it or So, there we go so far. So, we're going to move this over to the side again and now, I have a bowl. Yup, that's a bowl. That's what it is. Alright. We have one box of vanilla cake mix, alright? So, I'm going to put this right on in my bowl. Yup and we're going to do that too with the bag, bag and all and now I have right here. I have one and a half sticks of melted butter. One and a half sticks of melted butter right on into our vanilla cake mix. We're going to give this a good stir, alright? Mixy mixy. Mixy mixy. Alright. Great. So again, this is yeah, new and improved dump cake y'all, alright? Alright so we just going to do this and then guess what y'all this is going to be my favorite part y'all going to see why I'm so excited y'all I'm so excited y'all y'all know what I'm going to do y'all know why I'm excited yes yes why am I excited I want to see your comments most of y'all probably know if you you know me you know why I'm excited right now because I get to use my favorite kitchen utensils right here these babies we're going to take some of this and guess what we just going to like crumble it on top alright we're going to crumble it on top like so on top of our cream cheese blobs. Alright, maybe you could use a little less butter, that's fine but I don't know. I like butter. Butter's good. So yeah, if y'all want to do like one stick, it'll be a little bit more dry but I think I think it's going to be good like this. So, you know, usually with the dump cake, we just pour the the dry cake mix right on top and then we put the butter on top but I feel like sometimes the cake mix don't cook all the way. So, I've been experimenting with better ways to make dump cakes and yes y'all I dirty a few more dishes than I would have liked but I don't know. I think it's worth it. Few extra minutes for a delicious dessert that taste like you know and looks much better than a regular dump cake. Alright y'all so we're going to put this in the oven. Alright that's that looks perfect. So that's it. We're going to put this in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes and y'all are going to love my new take on a dump cake. Alright y'all here we have our delicious new better version of a dump cake. So remember we had canned strawberries. We did that like cream cheese powdered sugar mixture in the middle and then a box cake so we just mix box cake with melted butter so it's time to try it oh almond extract I forgot about that let's see I'm going to take some from right here because I want to I like taking it from weird places y'all it's fun alright so we're going to scoop this up oh my goodness y'all this going to be so good oh y'all this is like you know like I said I'm I'm a huge fan of dump cakes y'all know that they're they're delicious they're easy to make in a pinch but this one's like next level it's like the adult version of a dump cake alright with that almond I love almond extract. The cake topping, strawberries. I'm excited y'all. Oh, it's still hot. Why is everything hot? I put this outside and it's snowing today. Alright, here we go. Y'all this taste gourmet. Y'all have to try this.
