Jasmine Fitzwilliam on Instagram: "So I think most potters are familiar with the bag-in-a-bucket method of rehydrating dry old clay that’s too hard to throw with (putting a bit of water in the bag and then immersing the sealed bag in the bucket of water). If it’s rock hard and a full bag, and you’re not rushed for time, that’s definitely the way to go. But if you have semi dry, semi old clay like mine here, which was hard to cut through (but still cuttable)… well I rather like this weird method of speed-rehydrating. When you don’t have a few days to wait, it really works surprisingly well. If my clay got too hard in the past I thought it needed to go straight to reclaim, but I think this is a nice in-between solve.
