Meet-Cute Idea

My creative idea is to hold meet cute dates which singletons can attend and have their “movie moment”. As Thursday is the most exciting day to be single every week, why not send the audience a location for that evening to go to a café, book shop, concert, museum, or tube station to have their very own Pretty Woman moment.

Amount of this it would run for:
Initially we would trail this with VIP members who have been the most active and tend to go on dates every Thursday. A few hundred people would be selected to go on the blind date and have their meet-cute moment. This would be trailed for a few weeks and encouraging the audience to get back in touch with how it went. Further on down the line (if successful) we could introduce Meet cute Mondays, which would make one day out of the week just for having that Rom Com moment.
How it works:
1) Every Thursday we randomly select a few hundred lucky singletons for a bonus pre-arranged first date which they will be given a public location too. 2)This would be given to VIP members at the start, so they can make the most out of their experience! They will be given a location, time, and optional dress code. 3)The two profiles would be matched with similar interests, hobbies, and distance to make the most compatible date.
Target Audience:
As the majority of Thursday's audeince are younger (21-35) this would be the audience which I would aim to engage with. I think the Gen Z generation will respond most to this idea as their main characteristics are: - Prefer person-to-person contact - Pragmatic - Risk-takers I think that during your 20's dating should be a fun experience, regardless if it's absolutly tragic or one to remember for life!
Why would this be succesful?
Most people (whether they admit it or not), would always want to meet their person in a special way. How many times do you hear "how did you two meet"? Why not have a romantic movie moment meeting in a different way. Not only does this idea take the stress off trying to orginise something, but makes dating a fun & spontaneous thing to do!
Locations this would work in.
All of the locations which would be chosen and given to the matches would be public busy areas, all dates would also be hold during the day at the start. Not only is this for safety reasons but also makes the meet-cute aspect more believable for the pair. Please find a few ideas below: - Café - Book Shop - Concert - Museum - Tube Station - Bar / Pub
How will this encourage more downloads?
Social media has become one of the biggest marketing tools so let's use it to our advantage! - The audeince can create Tik Tok content of the whole expeince sharing their apprehension before and excitment after. - #meetcutemondays could be trending on Twitter making the audeince try to spot the first dates around London and document this. - Feedback is everything! By encourguing the first people to tell us how the date went this would make people feel more confident to give it a go.
