Saints

We believe saints are women and men who have passed into eternal life and are now in the warm embrace of God in heaven. We believe they are able to pray to God for us and for our intentions here on earth. This board contains images of the Church's canonized saints, others being considered for beatification and canonization, and a few other deceased men and women who we hope will be considered one day.

The Thornless Road
St. Rosalia was a hermitess who lived from 1130 to c. 1170 in #Sicily. As our world addresses COVID-19 and its impact, accounts of St. Rosalia's intercession during plagues may give us hope – and inspire our prayers. This short film about "the little saint" was narrated by Paulist Fr. Joe Ciccone, vice rector of St. Patrick's Catholic American Parish in Rome. It was created by Emanuele Sesta (a native of Sicily who a was parishioner at St. Paul's in NYC) and produced by our Media Office.
