Major objective of this study is to identify the perception of an individual regarding estate pla... more Major objective of this study is to identify the perception of an individual regarding estate planning that an estate planning is treated as a compulsion or is treated as a willingness of an individual. To major awareness for estate planning and to know the perceptions of an individual this research was conducted. The researcher has used both types of data primary and secondary data. The primary data were collected with the help of questionnaire through the online (google) form. The researcher has collected sample of 100 respondents who are the citizens of Gujarat state. Researcher had collected this sample by non-probability convenient sampling method. The data were expressed by using different testing like reliability test, normality test, chi-square methods, descriptive statistics, frequency distribution, and Kruskal-Wallis's test. Respondents are highly preferred to establish their will or estate planning for house property, bank deposits and life insurance policies. Education distribution data conclude that there is an increase in literacy level in India. Marital status responses shows that India is still following collective culture society. The most of the respondents have their current will for different types of assets, but still many individuals are there who do not have will or estate planning for many type of assets. We can conclude two statements from this resultst,1. People may be do not have majority type of assets ownership, or 2. If they have ownership they do not have will or estate planning for those assets. Estate planning of an individual are highly influenced by demographic factors like age, education, occupation etc. Individual perception towards estate planning is still need an awareness, majority have the will or nomination for different type of assets but it is not by willingness, it is a compulsion. As compared to elders, youngsters are more willing and aware for estate planning and nomination process.

The researcher has collected sample of 151 respondents who are the citizens of Gujarat state from different districts. The data were expressed by using different testing like reliability test, normality test, chi- square methods, descriptive statistics, frequency distribution, factor analysis and Kruskal - Wallis test. Respondents are highly preferred to invest their fund or saving in the security market or a stock market.
