A/N: Thank you all for waiting for this chapter! I know it took me longer to finish this one than it did the others but it's the longest chapter so far, and I also had a lot of major life events go down in the time between this chapter and last. I appreciate each and every single one of you who stayed patient with me, and I hope that this chapter and that the rest to come are worth the wait :) <3
feedback is greatly appreciated! comment, reblog, talk in the tags, send me a message, tell me what you think!

Mei I laughed so hard at this that my fiancé had to do CPR. Tears streaming down my face I almost died
Okay so call me crazy but I really enjoyed Icebreaker by Hannah Grace. FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
(Spoilers maybe??? Also TW: Eating Disorder)
1) I went into it knowing that it was 90% toe-curling smut and I was good with that! Sometimes I like a very mindless read and I find that books like that (I.e. books that are set in our world with lots of smut and romance) fit that bill because it’s entertaining, it’s good for the ADHD brain that craves dopamine, and I’m a sucker for steamy romance.
2) I really liked how eating disorders and therapy is touched on. Coming from a place of having been through an ED, I was relieved to see it was being brought up without being romanticized, and it was easier for me to relate to Stassie when she struggled with very similar things that I struggled with. (But I do wish that Hannah Grace would have included a content warning at the beginning of the book just because I wasn’t expecting it and would have liked to have been aware of it going in.)
All that to say, despite enjoying the book a lot and having fun reading, there were a few things that I wasn’t particularly fond of— I found that some of the moments in the books were kind of annoying, especially with Stassie being the way she was about dating all because her past boyfriend wasn’t as good at skating as she was. Still, I was very pleased with it. I had a good time reading, I was invested the whole time. It was a very good book and I will absolutely reread it.
The struggle when you need to get into a stuff you don't want to just to form your own opinion is huge right now 😭
I'm talking about Lucio route rn, because on one hand I hated him since middle school, on the other I kinda want to understand what led him to the way he turned out, but also I don't even want to give his route a chance because of strong feelings of dislike I have. Tbh if the whole reason turns out to be his mommy issues... That'll be a bit??? Pathetic?
Not judging people who like him, I mean, who am :D
From what I remember it was a deep-seated need to prove himself to those who believed him to be incompetent/weak/selfish. As well as the mommy issues.
Pathetic? Perhaps. But I do adore the trash goat man <3
