“I don’t want anything from you.”
Simon pulls back to look at him.
“You want the most of anyone.”
Which isn’t fair and isn’t true. Except that it is. “I just want you to be happy.”
“Yeah,” Simon says. “That.”

No regrets
What I loved about this scene was the way everything ended and finally after how S3 felt out of character for Wille the ending seemed true to both of their nature.
As we know Wille has always been impulsive so it actually feels right that at last Wille runs after Simon to catch him and tell Simon about his decision to abdicate with hope. And Simon deciding to stop the car and listen to Wille also stays true to his nature. Simon has always decided in second chances and he actually easily does forgive. So it feels fitting that he stops the car and comes out to hear Wille.
If Wille had not run after Simon due to his impulsiveness then maybe they would have never met again. And this regret would have always followed him. On the other hand, if Simon had not decided to not take the chance and go on, then maybe Wille would have never got the courage to let Simon know about his decision. And eventually they would have drifted apart (yes notice the pin - Lake Scene). Both of them chose the decision of following their hearts in that moment rather than the brain.
The show didn't end on a note of regret or a sad what-if but rather it ended on a happy note and a happy, hopeful what if.
This is the reason why this ending is so much beloved.
Darcy’s introduction in Pride and Prejudice is really ‘what if you had just had the worst month of your life because your ex-bestie tried to lover boy scam your baby sister out of her share of your dad’s life insurance and your friend dragged you to a shitty party in a dive bar in the neighbourhood where he’d just signed a short term lease, and you decided to let your bad mood show because you were never going to see any of the assholes in this stupid shitty bar EVER again. And your friend ended up making out with a girl he’d just met there while you were stuck talking to her sister who was less cute and then her mother appeared and started trying to matchmake and started saying how if she was twenty years younger she’d clime you like a redwood and ooooh is that a black Amex, guess the next round is on you hahhahahahaha, while her other sister (how many fucking sisters does she have?!) flashed an obviously fake ID at the bar and ordered six vodka-diet red bulls and no one in her family except the less-cute sister even tried to stop her. And you went home and consoled yourself that you would never see any of these people again but then you met them over and over again because they live next door and your friend and the cute sister keep meeting up to make out but not actually date and then. You fall in love with the less-cute sister because it turns out she’s really witty and charismatic but she already knows and remembers and resents the fact that on a day when you were in a shitty mood you called her mid out loud in a dive bar.’

"Netflix, where is my cheque? Young Royals Season 3, we gotta watch this! We need to give them a call!"
I'm dead 😂
In another slide she says that people got in contact with him and he _will_ get money for his songs. So happy we made this happen 💜
This edit and view was new to me. Amazing. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. 😭💜

And you hear Edvin exclaiming “YES!” in the end…🫠💀
Simon's emotions in S3
I think this post has been made multiple times. But I just want to give my thoughts about it.
As we see throughout S3 Simon starts losing himself, his singing, his opinions because of his relationship with Wille more specifically the Royal Court. Now I don't know much about Royal Families but I know that many spouses give up their career to be with a member of Royal family. But still I don't get the point why Simon was asked to remove his song from social media when he is just Wille's boyfriend, not even consort or something like that. I just think this was the Court trying to undermine Simon.
As we know, Simon has always been brave and never afraid to give his own opinions. This is the reason why Wille actually liked him at first. But then Wille starts saying to Simon, 'Don't give your opinions on Social media, what you post reflects on me and the Crown.' So Simon starts losing his opinions and himself in this. And understandable this is immensely difficult for Simon since he is a person who loves to express himself by his opinions and singing. Now many people may ask why did Simon then want to be exclusive with Wille? Firstly he didn't know, being with Wille would mean sacrificing himself. No one from the Royal Court gave him any hint, they actually gave the responsibility to Wille ( another teenager) to give lecture Simon when there are literally so many grown up people who could have made Simon understand. Simon just wanted to be open with Wille and not hide, he didn't know that by being open about their relationship, he would have to sacrifice his social life too. Maybe if he knew about these, he wouldn't have wanted to come out at least for sometime. That's why he says this to Rosh and Ayub 'If only he would have said to me that he would come out when he was giving the Jubilee Speech '. No one prepared him about what he would have to lose to be with Wille. The creators could have shown Simon breaking up with Wille at this point and it would have been totally valid but they didn't.
But the reason he broke up with Wille was because he saw how Wille was hurting. It was not for himself but for Wille.
He realises how he has to sacrifice himself if he wants to be with Wille. Maybe he could have accepted it but he saw the person for whom he was struggling was himself not happy. Wille was not fine. He was angry, constantly lashing out. Simon could see how Wille didn't want the position of Crown Prince. That is why he asks Wille 'What is so great about the Monarchy? I can see how it makes you feel'. Wille saying things like that 'I want a normal life with you Simon', 'My Mom is sick, I have to take up responsibilities ' 'I can be free with you Simon' and lastly the birthday scene where Wille lashes out at his parents and says 'Sweden's grief was more important. Sweden. You have never cared about me.' All of this showed Simon how much Wille was suffering for something that he didn't even want.
So ultimately, Simon and Wille both were suffering. And Simon could see how this institution of Monarchy destroys families and relationships. He could see that Wille was just holding onto this responsibility because of Kristina, Erik and his desire to not give the throne to August. He saw how Wille was slowly changing himself from the boy he fell in love with to a person who forcibly wants to fit in the Cage of Monarchy. Wille was doing nothing to save himself. Simon could not stand by and support something that hurts Wille. Wille was just clinging to Simon like a lifeboat when he was drowning in the pressure and Simon couldn't allow that. If he didn't end things with Wille at that point, he knew that one day he would maybe resent Wille for changing himself and in the process trapping Simon. He just wanted to remember the good memories.
Lastly, though Wille abdicates, it doesn't mean the press will leave them or Wille will not become angry anymore. But Wille took the first step to choose and save himself thus making all the difference to Simon knowing that Wille will not try to do or be something against his wishes anymore.
