Thank you so much for the inspo, @andrea.nelson.art **Supplies I used are linked in my Amazon Storefront under “Fall/Halloween” ✨Ghost Family Portrait✨ - paper (I used construction paper, could also use card stock) - white acrylic paint (I put mine in a bottle from Dollar Tree for an easier pour, could totally do it straight from the bottle) - squeegee (or an old credit/debit/gift card works!) - frame (mine was $10 from Hobby Lobby) - markers (for eyes/any detailing- I used acrylic markers) 👻Trace the shape of the frame over paper so you know how much space you’re working with. 👻Squeeze half circle of white paint (upside down U shape) on paper. 👻Swipe squeegee down (don’t push too hard!). Took me a few failed attempts to get the perfect texture. 👻Clean squeegee in between ghosts. 👻Once dry, add eyes and any details, add to frame and that’s it! Supplies: Carvable Pumpkins/Foam Pumpkins Air dry clay Rolling pin Paint Sanding paper Instructions: - Lightly sand (with proper ppe and in a well ventilated area your pumpkin, this will allow for the clay to stick better - cut out pumpkin face - roll out air dry clay, add water as needed but not too much; consistency should be almost playdough like! - trace and cut out your sheet (make sure it’s a thick enough piece to be able to press inward for eyes and mouth) - add clay and cut hole for pumpkin stem - create your draping, how you want it to look and smooth it out using water (don’t use too much water) - wrap clay around pumpkin and facd - air dry clay is prone to cracking, and you can fix minor cracks by creating a clay/water paste. - cracking is prone to happen (and happened to me too)! Cretae a clay/water mixture, not too thick or runny, almost paste like and use to fill cracks as they dry! 3.7M views · 62K reactions | DIY Dollar Tree Spooky Pumpkin Carriage | By Windy City Crafts | Grabbed four of these metal paper towel holders from Dollar Tree. Went ahead and spray painted them with some black spray paints. Allow those to dry and then grab two of these metal pumpkin wreaths also from Dollar Tree and spray painted those with black spray paints. Once everything is dry, you want to take two of those paper towel holders and you're going to zip tie those together making sure the bottoms are faced outwards and then you either want to take a long wooden sign or you can make one like I did. I just grab some one gallon paint stir sticks. Cut up some popsicle sticks and glue those together. You want to paint this black. Allow that to dry. And then glue that sign on the paper towel holders using E six thousand and some hot glue and allow those glues to dry for about 5 minutes. You then want to take some floral foam from Dollar Tree and glue that on top of your wooden sign. Then grab your pumpkin wreaths and I just zip tied them together on the top part only and then just placed it on top of the floral foam and you could add hot glue if needed. You then want to take some Spanish moss and begin hot gluing that on top of the floral foam until it is completely covered. And then add any spooky accent pieces that you would like. I had this plastic skull that I got from Walmart. And then I had made this tombstone out of some cardboard. Added that. Added some black branches and black roses that I picked up from Dollar Tree. And then added some foam pumpkins that I also got from Dollar Tree. And if you're not into spooky season that is okay. You could still build this but make it a fall theme. Make it your own. I am just here for the inspiration. But there you go guys. This came out way better than I expected. I hope it inspires you to create your own in your own special way.
