Grandma makes easy, budget-friendly dishes using simple ingredients that the whole family will love! | By Kim J | Okay, a box of yellow cake mix. It always seems to fall out. Always. Half a cup of vegetable oil. Is done with eight more. 4 eggs. Can of mandarin oranges not drained. Cup of pecan. I've got small chips in this one. Let me see. Look at that bag. Look at that bag. Okay. Take this and mix it all up and we've got a nine by thirteen dish sprayed already. Kinda looks like a fall cake in there right now. It does. See, this is my kind of eating right here. You don't want to you know, make your oranges too small but you want to get mixed up good because of the eggs. Okay, once you get it all mixed up and I think we do, I've checked the bottom. We're going to pour this into our nine by 13 and bake it for 35 minutes and then it's gotta cool and then we're going to make our icing for it. Smells really good. It does that oranges and the oranges are in light syrup. And they're nothing better than some cooked pecans. Okay, our cake needs to cool. Mm hmm. Now, we're going to make the topping. Gonna take the eight-ounce Cool Whip. Gonna take a small box of vanilla instant pudding. And one can of crushed pineapple. We're going to take this and mix this all together. It cool. It's looking good. Now, we've got our icing. Just going to throw dollops on here. And you do refrigerate this cake afterwards. It will need to stay in the refrigerator with the cool whip and oranges and the pineapple. And once you do this, you'll probably just want to eat the this bowl of icing here but it's not a rich icing at all. That's looking good, Kim. Oh, it is. There's no doubt in my mind. It's going to taste good too. Oh, look at that good. Oh, look at that. Looks nice. So good. Oh it's delicious. This is a ten. Ten? Yeah. Not good.
Classic no-bake dessert. Yummy. | Classic no-bake dessert. Yummy. | By Ryan R | Hi guys. We're going to make a delicious banana pudding pork cake. So, it calls for three eggs. Try not to get an eight shell in there. Third cup of oil. And one cup of milk. And since this is a banana pudding cake, I'm going to mix all this up together. Now I'm using the classic yellow. So if you want to use butter or whatever flavor you want to. White or yellow you can. Whatever you have on hand. Let's mix this up. Number four I totally mix it. I was able to find a banana McCormick with me that but banana flavor. So it really does make a difference. Now, we're going to add about a Mmm, I smell the banana too. Whisk, whisk, whisk. That looks pretty good guys. And now we going to pour it into a rectangular dish. That we have sprayed with some baker's choice. We're just going to pour this in here. Beautiful yellow and it smells like bananas. Looks good. We're going to put this in our 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes. And we'll see then. Okay? See you then. Hi guys. We're back with our cake fresh out the oven. We let it cooled off just a little bit for our banana pudding poke cake. And we're going to poke Okay, our holes in it. I think I'll do four. Okay. We just want it big enough for our pudding to ooze down into the cake. Almost done with our poking. Now if you guys have a little small wooden handle spoon that'll work too. But this is working great for me. Okay. All of my holes seem to be symmetrical. Okay, now let's make our pudding. Okay, we have some banana cream instant pudding. Small box. It requires two cups of coal milk. Okay, Imma add a little bit. And we're going to whisk this all together. Okay? And it's instant pudding. You see it's thickening up. Very quickly. Okay and Okay, it's almost to the consistency we want already. Nice and shiny. It's almost there guys. And we're going to spread it out so it can get in those holes. Just use my knife I slice my bananas with. We're going to take our time and get it all the way to those edges. Pressing it down so it can get in those holes. Looks pretty good to me. Now we going to have I have four medium sliced bananas. Just like we do a banana pudding. And I sprinkled them with just a little bit of lemon juice so they wouldn't brown on us. Nobody wants brown bananas on their banana pudding. We're going to place these slices on there. So everybody's going to get some banana. And just like a banana pudding, we're going to have some layers. Okay. Looks pretty good to me. I'm going to put another one here. Got another one there just because I can. Okay. Now we going to add our whipped cream. Can you pass me a spatula please? Thank you. It's at room temperature so it's nice and creamy. He was a big one of those homes. I'll try both. Thank you. Okay? Now, we're going to put Some cool whip. On here. With a nice hefty layer. Now it wouldn't be banana pudding without the what? Vanilla wafers. You got it. And what else? More bananas. I got a little bit left and I'm going to save it. For another layer. Kind of squirrel it a little bit. Starting to look like banana pudding guys. Now we going to use two packs of that banana pudding. I already had one made and I made one in front of you. So we going to get our pudding out. We got some more pudding. What more pudding? Yep. We're going to do just little dollops here and there. Don't make any difference if one is bigger than the other one. It's going to all become a layer. Okay? I think that looks good. Now, we're getting ready to add some vanilla wafers. I always like to put a few like so. Make a nice little border for when we slice. I don't know what happened to that one. Looks overground. This is a cake but it's going to look like what? Nana's banana pudding. And for this border I'm trying to make sure I get all whole cookies. It's very important. Now I told you we had extra bananas, right? Now we going to Put some bananas on top. Looking like banana pudding guys. I don't know. Yeah they going to think it's banana pudding but it's banana pudding cake Are we done yet? No. Now, we're going to get some more cookies and don't make any difference now if they're broke because we're going to If you want to, you can put them in a bag and kind of punch it around. Okay and now Bam. Bam. Everybody's going to get plenty of cookie. Okay. Looks pretty good. I'm going to go ahead and put just a little bit more cookies on here and you can be the judge of how many cookies you want on here. Now, the little bit of cool whip we left, we're going to save that for individual servings. We're going to let this set up for about 30 minutes and then we're going to slice it, okay? Ooh, it looks good, guys. Hi guys. We're back with our banana pudding poke cake. Say that really quick. Banana pudding poke cake. Okay now it looks like banana pudding but it's actually a cake. So we going to test it. I got somebody here. Colleague is going to taste it too. I don't know how big I'm going to give a civilized. We're just tasting. Okay? Tasting. Okay. We're just tasting. We're going to keep it civilized. Can I have your plate please? Sure we got it sliced all the way through to that cake. This looks Okay, we wanted to taste one too. Oh, it came out pretty. Whoo.
