I started experiencing this strange occurrence - the urge to look at the clock and find that it was 11:11. At first I thought it a coincidence, but in consulting numerology I now know it’s a message from the universe, a reminder to live in the moment and remember that cosmic forces are always at play.

My theory is this: Chaos is inevitable. The secret, though, is not to resist but to embrace – that’s usually when the magic happens. Transformation involves the harsh elements, those which grind our rough edges and shape us in new ways. It is coal, subject to extreme heat and duress, which transforms into a diamond. This candle is a dedication to the beauty that is chaos, and the alchemical journey it takes us on.

My grandma was a special lady. We shared the same sense of humour and a mutual love for nail polish. She had a knack for growing roses in her garden. She grew many varieties but her favourite, she would tell me, was Mr Lincoln because of its fragrant aroma. Mr Lincoln had her heart and she has mine. This is my tribute to her.
