Jill Finley on Instagram: "You can get perfect mitered borders by following these simple steps. Another little trick—I use a few drops of my Appli-Glue in the seam allowance to hold the borders I place so I can match the stripes! Have you ever tried it???

This quilt kit will go on sale next month. It’s called Courtyard.

Nellie | Australian Modern Quilt Designer on Instagram: "I’ve had a few people ask why I stitch my binding in place before trimming my quilt, so I thought I’d share a few of the reasons here. • By stitching the binding on first, I am stitching across all of the rows of quilting, reinforcing them before they’re trimmed • I can trim the quilt to whatever size I need to ensure I have a nice full binding • The back of the quilt doesn’t ever get any tucks in it and always sits nice and flat • It fills my binding so that when finished, I can’t feel the finished edge of the quilt I’ve been making quilts for over 30 years and this is the only method I have ever used or taught. I don’t ever have any problem with my quilts not being square because I make sure they’re square whilst making them.
