For my tarva makeover, I searched the depths of Pinterest for feasible hacks. My biggest lament about most of the tarva hacks I see is that they lack dimension, which doesn't improve the overall 'cheap' look, in my opinion. To create a single level top after I had joined two Rasts together, I used some pine trim to creat a wood tiled top. This was so satisfying and so much fun to create - line building my own puzzle. This piece also got a modern-style base to raise her up another NINE INCHES, and a cool faux inlay paint effect on the two top drawers. Here’s a streamlined guide to using @retiqueliquidwood on an IKEA dresser for a wood-finish upgrade #sponsored: Materials: - Retique It Liquid Wood& Gel Stain - Paintbrushes - 220-grit sandpaper - Polyurethane/topcoat -shellac primer Steps: 1. Prep: - Clean the dresser, sand lightly with 180-220-grit sandpaper, then wipe away dust. Apply a shellac topcoat if your surface is shiny. 2.
