Now that I’m an adult, I understand why that was a frequent week night meal. When you have worked all day, one pot meals are IT! 

I make this all the time, but I was intrigued when @flychefaldenb made his with a roux. It was so good! Once you sauté the sausage and bacon, remove it and add flour to make a roux, along with onions and garlic. Stir in chicken stock, season and add fresh green beans. Allow those to simmer about 30 mins followed by the potatoes. Once the potatoes soften, add back your meats.

2 lb fresh green beans 1 1/2 lbs smoked turkey leg 64 oz chicken broth,1 tbsp minced garlic 1 medium onion chopped 5 medium russet potatoes 1 tsp ground black pepper. Put the turkey into a large pot. Put broth in the pot, then turn to high. Let the turkey cook until it’s tender, then remove it from the pot. Keep the broth. Shred the turkey meat. Make sure to remove all the bones, and skin. Put beans, turkey, onions, potato & garlic into the pot of broth & cook until tender.
