Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to share a little DIY tutorial for the wooden trellis that I built for my garden this year! These support my indeterminate cherry tomato plants. I had a few goals in mind when deciding how I wanted to support my cherry tomatoes this year. I wanted something that was low-budget, strong, easy to store and that had multiple anchor points into the dirt to keep it as stable as possible. Burying your tomato stems like this will encourage better root systems and stronger plants. I plant on both sides of my trellis, one plant for each post.  1. Dig a hole in the center of the trellis at each post  2. The hole should be angled, becoming shallower as it reaches the post  3. Place the tomato seedling in so that it lays almost horizontal on the ground  4. Snip off any branches below the soil level  5. Fill in the hole  6. Wait one or two days for the tomato plant to turn itself toward the sky. Tie it (gently) to the post. I like to use strips of soft fabric like from a t-shirt.  Happy planting, friends!"
