BIRD SUET
Homemade bird food. I have hundreds of birds chowing down on these suet bird feeders. Items needed: Twine, bowls, spatulas, silicone molds, 1 cup lard, 1 cup crunchy peanut butter, 2 cups quick oatmeal, 1 cup cornmeal, 2 cups bird seed, 1/2 cup nyjer seed. Melt lard and peanut butter. Do not boil. Remove from heat. Add 2 tablespoons of melted Lard/PB to the Nyjer seeds, set aside. Stir in oatmeal then stir in seed and cornmeal. Half fill mold with Nyjer seed and seed mix, add twine, continue..
