50K views · 24K reactions | diy cakesicles for my baby’s first birthday 🤍 I love birthday party prep and I think they turned out so cute and would be a great addition to any birthday party or shower! Comment “cake” for everything I used for our cakesicles to be sent your way 💌 1 box of cake mix makes (8) cakesicles - 1 box vanilla cake - 1 cup milk - 4 eggs - 1 stick melted butter cook according to the box directions and add immediately into stand mixer so the steam will help it form a dough. Add in to your silicone molds and freeze for at least 3 hours. I did mine overnight. For the chocolate dipping: - chocolate melts - spoonful of coconut oil - food coloring if needed (I used pink) before dipping let your frozen cakesicles sit out for about 15-20 minutes at room temperature. #diycakesicles #diyfirstbirthday #1stbirthday #realisticbirthdayparty #firstbirthdayparty #firstbirthdayideas #1stbirthdayideas #birthdaypartyinspo #diybirthday #birthdaypartyprep #partyprep | Jade Roberts O’Neal

104K views · 2K reactions | You guys loved this hack so much (apart from some people’s confusion about which letters can be written in reverse 🤦🏻‍♀️), I figured it was only right to remind you how easy it is! It truly is the easiest hack to elevate your cakes! So simple, two ingredients and so good! Works for all numbers and letters, shapes and everything in between! Add them to your tablescapes and grazing boards, pop them on cupcakes or use them as cake toppers on birthday cakes! Stay tuned for a spooky version coming soon too! 👻 Here’s how 🧑‍🍳 🔹 100g chocolate 🔹 1/2 cup sprinkles of your choice (I rarely use actual sprinkles, if you want a healthier choice you can use chopped hazelnuts, freeze dried raspberry pieces, seeds, desiccated coconut or hemp hearts!) 1️⃣Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after each interval until completely melted. 2️⃣ Pour the melted chocolate into a piping bag or zip-top bag and snip a small piece off one of the bag’s bottom corners. 3️⃣ Place the sprinkles in a shallow bowl and spread out evenly. Pipe the chocolate over the sprinkles to form the letters. Make sure you pipe them in mirror image! 4️⃣Let the chocolate letters harden at room temperature or place them in the refrigerator for quicker setting. If it wasn’t the video title, it was the plastic usage, or the fact that I didn’t use an equal amount of yellow. 😝 Still thankful for the reach this video has had, because it brought me most of you. 🥰 Also, who doesn’t love that final swirl with the 3J piping tip!?!? | The Quintessential Cupcake
23K views · 2.9K reactions | #5 is a TOTAL game changer! More details below ⬇️ For those who may not know, I worked the morning shift in a bakery in Washington, DC for 4 months before the pandemic hit. It was the HARDEST job I ever had but I learned soooo much and would absolutely not have the business I have today without this (at times grueling and brutal) experience. A few things I learned that helped me become a better, faster baker: 👩🏽‍🍳 1️⃣ Cupcake scoops come in all sizes and can be used to speed up the measuring/scooping process. My favorite is linked in my Amazon shop 2️⃣ do NOT wait until the recommended time to check your precious baked goods! All ovens are different and you always want to be checking early, not late, to prevent over cooking. 3️⃣ I will fight you over this one. A scale will not only ensure you are measuring accurately (the way you scoop flour greatly affects how much you actually have!) BUT you will be able to increase/decrease batch sizes effortlessly and quickly. If you are at all serious about baking and don’t have a scale, what are you waiting for?! 4️⃣ This is a quick trick if you’re not sure what attachment to grab, just ask yourself: does it have 🧈? 5️⃣ This one is truly groundbreaking if this is new to you, as it was to me when I first learned it. It’s no secret that bakers don’t bake, frost AND decorate huge elaborate cakes all in one day, the day they are due. You MUST work in advance to save your sanity and work efficiently. Personally, I wrap and freeze my cake layers. ⭐️ I share my weekly schedule and full start to finish process with my subscribers - hop on over to my exclusive community to learn my method for stress-free, delicious, fresh cakes EVERY TIME!
