Roll the puff pastry out to a ~12 inch square. 4. Cut the two sides into 10 strips each. 5. Spoon enough cookie dough into the center to fill it up (I used about 1 1/4 cups. 6. Fold the puff pastry strips over the cookie dough, alternating sides to make a “braid.” 7. Brush with egg wash (1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp water). 8. Top with additional cookie dough pieces. 9. Bake for 12 minutes then loosely cover with foil (so the cookie dough on top doesn’t burn.) 10. Bake an additional 8-12 minutes until the top is golden brown. 11. Top with chocolate chips if desired and dust with powdered sugar!
