I'm going to start this project off using one of these little mini glass wee yogurt jars and I'm just going to give this a couple of coats of white paint. So, I first used a brush to put on the first coat and made sure that it was all even all the way around And then once I had that all on and it was fully dry I'm going to come back out and I used a sponge pouncer with some white paint on it. And I'm just going to pounce some more white paint on it. And I went all around the whole jar right over the top of that other paint using this method and it was a lot easier and it came out nicer for people who aren't really good at the brush painting. So this makes it

46K views · 1.1K reactions | DIY Dollar Tree Snowman Candy Jar | By Creating Through Chaos | Hey everybody it's Janice with Creating Through Chaos. I'm going to start this project off with this candy jar from Dollar Tree. And I'm going to start by taking off the cover and I'm going to take a sponge pounce or impounds some it's a vintage white colour onto the cover. And I did three coats of this. Once I had that all dry I'm going to take a pencil I drew two teardrops at the top. And I am going to paint those teardrops black. Full disclosure here. I didn't pay attention to which side was the top when I screwed the cap on. So I ended up having to redo this. So if the face looks a little different in the last one than it did while I was doing the video you'll understand that I had to redo it because I didn't pay attention and when I did it I turned the snowman on and he was completely upside down. What I did end up doing was marking the inside of the back to tell me which side was the top. So now I'm just as you can see filling in the teardrops with the black paint. Making sure that I get them fully covered. Then I'm going to take a stencil brush that I had and I dipped it in some pink paint and I'm just going to up his cheeks. Just kind of dabbing that on there. And then I am going to take some orange paint and I am going to paint a nose. So I'm just going to do long teardrop. Just kind of pulling it up. And then filling it all in. Once I had that all done, I'm going to take that black paint again and I'm going to make em out. So, I'm going to start with two half circles on either side and then I'm going to connect those with a squiggly type of line for the mouth. Just going back over that to make sure that it is all even. And look it. It's getting out cute already. Next I'm going to take some more of the black and I'm just going to do two small eyebrows up at the top. Then I'm going to take my stylus. I dipped it in some white paint. I'm going to do dots for the eyes. And I get the stylus right at Dollar Tree. Then I'm going to take a paint brush and do a line on either side of the eyes. And now it's really coming to life. Next I'm going to do a white. on either side of the mouth. Then I'm going to let that all fully dry. I'm going to twist it back onto the candy jar. And then I'm going to take some of this glitter paint from Dollar Tree. And I'm going to give the cover a good coat of that. I'm just going to go all the way over the snowman's face all the way around the rim and then I'm going to let that fully dry once that was fully dry and it's all sparkly. I'm going to use this Duraclear Satin Finish by Deco Art and it's just a clear coat and I'm going to put a coat of that on and then I'm going to let that dry and then I'm going to do another coat of that and then let that fully dry before I move on to any of the next steps. Once I have that all painted and it's all fully dry I'm going to take this ticking stripe fabric I have and I'm going to wrap it around the mouth of the jar and then over in the corner here I'm going to tie it in a knot and then I'm going to tie it in a knot again and this is going to be the scarf and then I'm going to trim that up then I'm going to take a rusty pin and a rusty safety belt and I'm going to run that right through that knot So I'm just going to push the safety pin through and this is kind of hard to get it through the knot because it is rusty and the knot was pretty tight. So I'm just going to push it through there. Once I have it through I'm going to add that safety pin that bell I'm sorry onto the other side and then close that up. And that is it. This project is finished. I think this looks so super cute. I think I'm going to fill it with some MandM's because they are one of my favourites. And this would make an amazing gift. Thank you guys for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video. I hope it inspires you to make one and as always don't forget to spread the chaos.

Let's make a super cute snowman using this redboard from Hobby Lobby. Make sure you watch for the clearance items to come out. I got that in the fall section at 70% off. The starting price was two ninety-nine. Anyway, the first thing I did was take some Dixie Belle paint in the color of drop cloth and paint both sides of that bread board. After it was dry, I put my little bits and pieces from a couple different embellishment kits that I have in the shop and painted them. I obviously have a little carrot nose, some star buttons, and a little tag that says bur. Um we're just using some orange paint, black paint, and a brown gel stain that came from Hobby Lobby. I Now, we're just going to use a little carrot nose with some stick em thick glue and put it right there at the top of that handle. Um I covered up the little hole so we didn't have to do anything with it. Now I just have a nice long piece of fabric that I tore to make the little scarf. Let's take our little standing tool and just rub those buttons up just a little bit. Take that little all that crisp blackness off of there. We'll glue those down. Another option if you don't have ability to get little embellishment things like this is you can always cut them out with cardboard. Use buttons for the for the little wooden things that I have and a cardboard nose would be just as just as cute. Now I'm just using my dark wax that I got from Dixie Belle. It's called the besting wax. It's in the color brown. And I'm just going around the edges. Just to kind of give it a detailed finish look. Make them look a little vintage. A little dirtyish. Little farmhouseish. If you don't like the wax you guys you don't have to do that. There's no need you know he will look just as cute without the wax. I like the wax so I use it. Another option would be to get the bare wax from Home Depot. I used my little dotting tool that I got on Amazon to make with some little eyes. Now this is just a little red heart that I already had painted in my stash so you guys didn't see me painting that. I decided to add that. We're just going to add a little piece of greenery right there underneath his little scarf. And I'm going to go ahead and take some hot glue. After I glue this little tag on, I'm going to take a little bit of hot glue and stick it underneath the scarf just a little bit because I want the scarf to kind of look like it's you know, kind of blowing in the wind and you know, give it a stationary place to to hang out so that it's just not flopping around. We'll top it off with a piece of twine. Then I'll just get it you know fluff it up, figure it out. I decided I don't like the little twine pieces quite that long. So you'll see here a minute. I'm just going to trim them down just a bit. You guys this would look super cute with a very large cutting board as well if we could find one. Even Dollar Tree has some ones that aren't wooden. I hope you guys enjoyed. Thanks for watching. Love you all. Have a great

One more winter project to hopefully inspire you. xo Billie Grow in... | By Made Bayou | Look at these cute snowman napkins. I knew I had to use them before the winter season got away from us. Hi, I'm Billy with Made by You. The Snowman is this is going to be a winter craft and the red can represent Valentine's Day. So I started with this little piece of wood that I got from the Dollar Tree. The napkins came from DJ Max. I painted two coats of the color sheepskin on the blocks drying between each coat when decopoging is better have your surface color the same color as the background of your napkin. Then after it was dry I put two coats of Mod Podge dry

It's Janice with Creating Through Chaos and we're going to start this project off with this silver spoon that I got at a flea market. I'm going to take and paint three coats of the color almondine on the spoon part of it and I waited for it to dry in between each coat. Once it was dry, I took my paintbrush, the backside of it and did two dots for his eyes. Then, I took a very thin liner brush and I'm going to do some orange for his nose and I'm going to do the nose going straight down. So, I just kind of took my brush with some paint loaded on it and kind of went back and forth and drag the paint brush down to make his nose. Once I
