Tattoo Inspiration (Mendel's Pea Plants)

I've got some fairly horrific scarring on my right arm. Actually, it doesn't look so gruesome, but it's a constant reminder of a violent relationship. I want to cover it up with something meaningful, something beautiful. After years of contemplation, I've decided to get a partial sleeve of pea plants (Pisum sativum) done in the style of a old-timey botanical sketch. These won't be just any peas... oh no. There'll be some round, some wrinkly, some yellow, some green. There'll be white flowers and purple. Sound familiar? They're Gregor Mendel's phenotypes!
