öğrencilerine edebiya... more 1962 – 1990 yılları arasında 28 yıllık öğretmenlik yapmış Salih Sefa Yazar, öğrencilerine edebiyat dersini çok sevdirmiş ve “Hocaların Hocası” namıyla tanınmıştır. Bu özellikleriyle adından hâlâ söz ettiren, ölümünden sonra da bu özellikleriyle anılan ideal bir öğretmen modelidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ideal bir öğretmen modeli olarak Salih Sefa Yazar’ın öğretmenliğini öğrencilerinin anlatıları ile ele alıp öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin kişisel özelliklerini belirlemek, rol model olarak gösterdiği öğretmen davranışlarını değerlendirmektir.
Journalism activities which were started with the westernization process reflected to the country... more Journalism activities which were started with the westernization process reflected to the country late. 2nd Constitutionalism, Balkan Wars, 1st World War, War of Independence, newly founded Turkish Republic are among the factors of this lateness. Besides, when we consider journalism, especially journalism in culture, art and literature, as intellectualism, this lateness has sociological, economical, and psychological dimensions beside historical period. Journalism activities are seen to be functioning after 1970s in country in general and in Osmaniye specifically. The journals published with limited opportunities in Osmaniye which is a province of Adana were improved by providing publication equipment in the province as a result of low expenditure and easiness of publication. As a result, journals at long run were published in Osmaniye, which were not local but turned into national. The journals carried the feature of being language and literature schools in Osmaniye, like in anywhere else.
The aim of this study is to represent and describe the local journals improving Osmaniye in terms of culture, art, and societal factors. With this study, the development of journals that played role in the formation of cultural and artistic atmosphere in historical period was followed, as well as the personalities the journals brought in Osmaniye in cultural, artistic, and scientific dimensions. Literature review was used as the research method of the study through investigating the studies about the topic. The study was limited to Osmaniye city center. At the end of the study, it was found out that local journals in Osmaniye present traditional literature together with modern literature, support folklore activities of Osmaniye and Çukurova regions, bring the traditional values of the region into art and literature, and with this respect contributing the education of important figures at national dimension.

In this study, Bestami Yazgan's "The Tale of Birds" narrative features that differ from the narra... more In this study, Bestami Yazgan's "The Tale of Birds" narrative features that differ from the narrative features of the traditional tale genre were examined. The research was designed according to the document analysis method. Content analysis has been made to examine the genre features related to the tale. The traditional narrative features of the tale genre and the new narrative features used in this work have been determined. Thus, the new narrative features and usage styles of the fairy tale genre in contemporary literature were explained. It was determined that traditional fairy tale genre and fable, diary, legend and story were intertwined in the studied work, and sometimes poetry type was used between the parts of the tale. In addition to new and up-to-date sayings in rhymes, it was observed that there is an extra rhyme that can be called "presentation rhyme" indicating the storyteller before the "tale head rhyme" of the traditional tale. It has been determined that arts such as proverbial (referral), quotation (quote), mention (reminder) were used in addition to the arts such as analogy, exaggeration, speech and personification used in traditional fairy tales. In addition,each of the 13 tales in the studied work has a distinct fairy tale feature in itself. When all tales are read together, it can be read as a single tale.
