Teresa Fowler on Instagram: "Looking for a focus activity for your classroom? We love to add focus activities to every single choir class. Doing them quickly and regularly helps our kids learn to focus on the conductor and respond immediately and accurately. This totally pays off during concerts! This is a fun one that takes no prep, allows you to change it as the season or special day calls for, and you can pop it in anywhere! I learned it from my awesome colleague, and this is my student teacher doing the activity with our sixth grade."

Ms Cecchini | Music Teacher and Choral Director on Instagram: "Our body warmup this week is epiiiiiiic! 🙌🏼 You can find so many videos from the Just Dance game on YouTube. Kids are familiar with them and they are relatively easy to follow. This one for “Waka Waka” by Shakira gets even my most hesitant dancers moving because 1. It’s soccer themed! and 2. How can you NOT move to this song?! A word of warning: there are a couple of moves that are not exactly Ms Cecchini safe body approved, so you do you but I would definitely preview the video to see what I’m talking about before you have your class try it 😂.
