The Good Life

Priesthood requires to live their lives a little different from the lives of others, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Committing oneself to the Church and God is a great responsibility that anyone can fulfill if they're willingly. Priests have a different style of living from where they live, to where they spend most of their time, and how they dress everyday. Priests are human beings devoted to their faith and have accepted their new way of living which is helping others and let God work through them. They are admirable because they seek guidance from God to help others and counsel them. Priests have a good life because they have the privilege to counsel and guide others when they're lost. Priests have the opportunity to save many lives by talking to people in their parish when they need it and feel like there's no hope. God is working through them to help many people out. Priests are ordained to be able to listen to people during confession and counsel them which is not something ordinary people usually do. Most people don't usually have helping others as their priority as a priest does. Priests have a good life because they are still able to play their favorite hobbies and get to socialize with other people. Priests like Father Matt, can enjoy what they like doing. For example, Father Matt plays basketball and enjoys playing basketball with his team members. He also likes to have healthy conversations with people he meets at stores. It is natural for people to enjoy doing their favorite hobbies and that can be considered having a good life because they are happy with their devotion to God and enjoying doing their favorite hobbies. Priests also have a good life because they live their lives devoted to their faith and expressing their love to God. They are freely showing their devotion to their faith and helping others keep their faith strong as well. When people are freely doing something they are passionate for, then they are truly happy on how they are living their lives everyday. Priests are helpers of God who spread God's love for us. They are also a representation for Jesus' presence at mass which shows how they are blessed by God with an important role.

The Media Will Never Report What Pope Francis Just Said
"Everyone say to himself: 'When was the last time I went to confession?' And if it has been a long time, don't lose another day! Go, the priest will be good. And Jesus, (will be) there, and Jesus is better than the priests - Jesus receives you. He will receive you with so much love! Be courageous, and go to confession," urged Pope Francis at his general audience on Feb. 19. // CatholicVote.org
The Catholic Gentleman
G.K. Chesterton (quoted by Fr. James V. Schall, SJ) once bristled at someone's admonishment that he was too jovial and comical in his sharing of the Truth: the Truth is still the Truth, and didn't cease being the Truth because Chesterton was being funny. Likewise, a priest I know is very serious and reverent whilst celebrating the TLM, but has a wicked sense of humor. The reason: the opposite of "funny" isn't "serious" or "true." The opposite of "funny" is... "not funny."

Born Together, Ordained Together: Twin Priests Part of Michigan 'Vocations Boom'. Wow, a youth ministry focused on Holy Hour of Adoration, Mass and discussion of vocations. Our young adults were subject to broom hockey and snacks. Yay.
Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer. - St. Padre Pio
At my Requiem Mass, do not "celebrate my life" (that's for the Wake or the reception afterwards); please pray for my soul, and for the only life that truly matters-- life with God forever. Remember that Mass is all about Christ, and not about me.
