And, y’all, I absolutely love it! It has so much character. I left it complete with dents and dings from years and years of wear and every imperfection makes me love it that much more. Products and steps also listed below ⬇️ ⚡️Products: ⬇️ -Top Coat: @monocel.timbercare waterbased satin varnish -The paint wash we used was a mix of left over whites but a suggested mix to try is @purecopaint in the colour Calico. Mixed 1 parts paint to 10 parts water. Our clients vintage Maple sideboard was fully sanded down to raw then given a paint wash to act as a barrier between the natural golden orange tones of the maple wood and the top coat. The ratio of 1 parts paint to 10 parts water is the lightest paint wash we have found possible with most pieces where visible paint isn’t left on the timbers surface. It soaks right in.
