Follow this easy rule of thumb:
Whatever color the wall is, the crown molding atop it, the door frames along it, and the baseboards afoot it can all be the same.

So if (as in our case), your walls are @benjaminmoore Simply White, then your trim that touches that wall should also be Simply White (our ceiling is Simply White too). You do not want Simply White walls with a stark white trim color/ceiling or the Simply White will, in contrast, look yellow.

If you’re choosing a colored wall, the trim can be the same color.

What about the crown molding atop the cabinetry?
Answer: It should be the same color as the cabinetry.
