I realized, just a few years ago, how many of the faces--both realistic and cartoon--I've drawn over the years have featured hair in one shade of red or another. Then I realized how many things in nature, both animals and landscapes, also come 'colorado' (one Spanish term for red. So here's my toast to auburn--in all of its different shades and moods.
