It’s not available to every location because of local regulations but it’s worth asking your builder about. Get that water away from the foundation! Are you sold on gutter drains as much as I am? #BuilderBrigade #homebuildingtips #homebuilding #customHome #HomeBuildingChecklist #gutterdrains #drainage #homemaintenance | Builder Brigade

This area was originally on a slope so we decided to dig this area to level it. Originally we were thinking to add sleepers to create a wall but we had many timber pieces left from our fence projects, we opted to recreate a mini fence instead to carry the design across our garden. We came across these steel fence post supports from @bandq_uk , it was fairly easy to install them. You can also get 45mmx 45mm fence posts to fit these from b&q too. We then attached tarpaulin across the posts to prevent soil or weeds coming through when we pack the wall up with soil.We then followed the process of adding timber slats across. We used screws instead of nails this time. Shortened the posts to the desired height and added a wider timber across the top to finish it off. I’m so happy with the result. The wall is absolutely solid 💪🏼Thinking of sanding it all down and possibly paint but not rushing into any decisions. What a difference 🥰 do you like ? Please note: this is a design we came up with and not the official way of building a retained wall. Something to consider if you wish to create something similar. #gardeninspiration #gardendiy #gardenproject #fencedesign #fenceinstallation | Mishkashoe

In design, this is actually called scale and most people have trouble seeing it. For instance, this artwork here is too small but you might not have noticed it until I swapped it out and in this case, the width works relative to the bed but the height is off relative to the ceiling and vice versa here where the width doesn't work. What you actually want is the width to be 60 to 75% of the width of the furniture and the height should be 60 to 75% of the wall height above it.
