Wisdom from Dolly
This week’s wisdom comes from Ginger Lapid-Bogda PhD, our Enneagram leader, and the one and only Dolly Parton. Ginger has been a fan of Dolly for years. In this mini series of #wednesdaywisdom quotes, Ginger attributes Dolly Parton quotes per type. This is not a typing of Dolly, only a fun interpretation of her words. Per our usual style, the quotes are organized by centers. Up now #heartcenters #theenneagraminbusiness #enneagram #quotes #dollyparton #enneagram2 #enneagram3 #enneagram4

Humility
Humility is often misunderstood as self-deprecation, modesty or even a lack of arrogance. But self-deprecation, or having a low estimate of oneself, is not humility. Neither is modesty or its cousin, false modesty, the same as humility. A person can be modest – in other words, not be self-aggrandizing – without being truly humble. Neither is a non-arrogant person necessarily a humble person, although an arrogant person is never a humble one.#humility #flowers #summer #spring #cslewis #yellow
Everything is Your Teacher
Sometimes, the things we need to do to develop or the way we need to do it is so simple and obvious that we can’t see it. What we need is often right in front of us, every moment a keen teacher. Efforting
Efforting is not an official word in the English language; it’s a verb made into a noun. But its meaning is clear: putting a great deal of strength and force toward something or in a very specific direction. Making an effort – wanting something and creating an intention through our thoughts and actions – can be very helpful in our development; “efforting” can be counter-productive. The Enneagram can help us in minimizing our “efforting” and maximizing our “emergence." Link to Ginger's Blog.
