Oh, and they make incredible gifts, too, as does the kit itself! My friend had the sweetest small shop, and in it she stocks not only the most decadent-smelling, sustainably sourced beeswax, but she has put together kits with everything you need to make these dipped candles at home (including the metal pitcher.) It also comes with detailed instructions. It’s a beautiful kit and one that can either be used to make gifts or used as a gift itself 🎁 To add the flowers, I simply pressed them onto the candle and held in the warmth of my hand while applying pressure for a few seconds. Then I dipped in the hot wax one last time. If you want the link to the kit, the beeswax I use, or a post on dipped candles at home, comment “link” and I’ll send that to your inbox ❤️🐝🕯️ | Northwoods Folk

We make these every year to give out to friends and they’re always well loved. Quick instructions are below and the full tutorial with photos is on the blog. Candle making supplies I use are available in my shop (I’m using the white color way rolled candle kit from the shop— you can make several ghosts from a single kit). Link to the blog post and shop are in my bio! Materials: 1-2 white beeswax sheets, cotton candle wick. decorating or modeling beeswax, ghost cookie cutter Instructions: - Use your cookie cutter to cut eight ghost shapes out of your white beeswax sheets - Attach four ghosts together by pressing together

I’m going to add a couple of them to Elliot’s stocking the year so that he can add them to his fairy garden. Instructions are exactly the same as the full sized ones, tutorial is also on the blog, and the original reel is a few rows down on my feed! All candle-making materials and supplies I use are available in my shop. My holiday shipping cutoff was yesterday but I’m extending it to tonight because I was able to restock a few things this morning that people had been waiting for. Link to the blog post and shop are in my bio! Materials: walnut shells, beeswax, cotton wick, metal pouring pitcher or heat-proof container to m
woodlark® • ashley on Instagram: "spiral beeswax candle 🕯️ happy winter solstice, friends ✨ this one has been on my to-do list for years and it seemed fitting to finally make one to celebrate solstice— to symbolize the longest and darkest night and a return to the sun ☀️ I used an orange peel as a mold since it is biodegradable. These are neat because they burn down in a spiral shape. My total burn time for this was a little over 2 hours and yours will vary based on the size of your mold and how much wick you use. Instructions are below! Materials: beeswax, cotton wick, heat-proof container to melt wax in (and something to place it on top of inside of the pot), orange (or whatever you’re using as a mold) Instructions: - Melt beeswax using the double-boiler method: Place your contain

woodlark® • ashley on Instagram: "beeswax eggshell candles 🥚🕯️ Two days away from my due date— still here, still waiting 🙃 so I’m getting a head start and making a batch of these today. I make these eggshell candles every year for Elliot’s birthday since his birthday always falls really close to Easter. Eggshells are a wonderful low waste option for making candles— after they’ve completely burned down you can just crush them and add them to your garden soil (after removing any wick tabs). These will burn for 3-4 hours, depending on how shallow your eggshell halves are/how much wax you use. Quick instructions are below and full tutorial is on the blog. Materials: eggshells, beeswax, cotton candle wick, sustainer tabs, egg carton, heat-proof container to melt wax in (and something to p
