Why You Need to Relax Your Pelvic Floor During Birth (and How to Do It)
There are lots of myths out there about pregnancy workouts and labor preparation. But I’m here to simplify things! I want to help you learn how to do the workouts you love during and after pregnancy, prepare your body for motherhood and postpartum, and find relief for pelvic floor tightness or weakness, and so much more. 👊🏻You gotta work for it!! . ✅Well positioned baby to be birthed and the stamina to birth!! . 💫It’s simple…crawl around on your hands and knees!! As tiny humans we crawled before we walked. Crawling helps hammock baby to the anterior side of the body which is an optimal birthing position. Throw in some: Johnny C’s (high to low modified planks) Knees in ankles out front to back rocks Hip circles Pelvic tilts Cobra to child’s pose Or whatever suits your fancy! . 💡The idea is to stay in a hands/knees position for 10 minutes at a time and build up to doing it 3 times a day. This builds endurance and stamina in your wrists, shoulders and knees. A very common position natural birthers get into to birth their baby. PRACTICE what you will already do during your birthing process!!
