In my reel, I showed you how to use soil-filled ice cubes to stratify poppy seeds. But poppies aren’t the only seeds that benefit from this process! Here are other seeds that thrive after cold stratification: Lavender Echinacea Lupine Black-Eyed Susan Wild Strawberry Wildflower mixes Instructions for Cold Stratification Using Ice Cubes: 1️⃣ Fill an ice cube tray halfway with potting soil. 2️⃣ Sprinkle a pinch of your chosen seeds (like poppies) on top of the soil. 3️⃣ Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil. 4️⃣ Water the soil until it’s saturated. 5️⃣ Freeze the tray for 2–4 weeks. The freezing process mimics winter and preps the seeds for germination. Once frozen, plant the ice cubes in your garden or seed trays! As the ice melts, the seeds will be ready to germinate in their new home. 🌱 📽thenottygarden #growfriend #gardeningtips #seedstarting #coldstratification #gardeninghack #springgarden #poppyseeds #growyourown #wildflowers #gardeninglove #gardenideas | GROWFRIEND 🌿
