2M views · 641K reactions | Today’s the day! ⏰ My anticipated typewriter art of NYC’s iconic Flatiron Building is here! 🍏🗽 📨 Newsletter subscribers, check your inbox because you now have early access to this limited-edition print. There are only 100 copies available, compared to other pieces in my collection that are editions of 400, 200, or 150. The general release goes live tomorrow (30th Jan) at 12:00 midday GMT in my online shop ❤️ This piece was a labor of love, composed of over 300,000 letters, numbers, and punctuation marks, and it took me more than 3 weeks to type. I also love sharing photos sent in by happy customers of my prints displayed on their walls, so if you pick one up, feel free to tag me or send in a picture…I’d love to see it! 📸 #typewriter #artistsoninstagra

When I go and draw on glass walls, we usually have no verbal communication (since we can’t hear each other), so instead we communicate with body language and facial expressions 🫶 Taking away the communication form, that may usually be thought of as the primary one, awakens our other senses. We are suddenly more aware of looking with openness and care and mirroring body language. At the same time, I’m drawing them, and slowly they see themselves appear between us, which I hope gives the unusual and powerful experience of being seen ♥️ This drawing is from a couple of years ago when I got to draw on the @krollermullermuseum in the Netherlands. I drew around 300 people there during those two weekends! 👀😅 It’s been a while since I drew on glass. If you have an idea (at you office, at your store front, at your library or whatever) feel free to reach out if you want to hear more about how that would work 🔥✨ #livepainter #eventpainter #irisbakker #liveeventpainter #portraitdrawing #portraitartist | Iris Bakker Studio
