Ceramicsmadebyj on Instagram: "Like all pottery projects, the construction of this pedestal bowl happened over multiple days. Here I am trimming and binding two pieces together that I threw the day before. It's important to work with clay when it is still moist to give the two binding parts a better chance at moulding together, and reducing the risk of cracks appearing. For those playing at home, I used around 2kg of clay for the bowl and 500grams for the base. After this piece has dried out completely, I will be able to work on it again, by adding glaze and firing it in the kiln. Are you curious to see how it turned out?"
