I don't think I've ever actually read an Animorphs book, but hear me out: BAT.
Trick or Treat! 👻
Here you are!
Incredible (X)
i mean the Animorphs didn’t get rid of the pain of being a man. that was a pretty significant thing that happened. like I understand where you’re coming from here but they very much did not get rid of the pain of being a man.
Tobias tried to in the beginning. It didn't work.
Is it possible that an episode of A-Town could have "Written by Erek King" in the credits?
[For those of you just tuning in: A-Town is the shitty postwar sitcom inspired by the life of Jake Berenson, to the eternal annoyance of Jake Berenson.]
I'm honestly on the fence about whether Erek would be willing to get involved with this project, or would run in the other direction because surely mocking the war counts as "doing harm."
So, to the polls!
who do you think the executive producer is? it was the only way erek could get revenge on jake
The fine art of satire and taking the piss out of Jake
He would, and he would justify it as a fictionalized version that helps people avoid repeating past mistakes, therefore lessening harm.
never forget that Erek and Marco are bonded for life despite their huge personality and moral differences because of their mutual dedication to The Bit of Annoying Jake Berenson
You're all 100% correct that loudly insisting he's not hurting anyone while also causing Jake irreparable psychological damage is extremely in character for Erek.
look, Erek chooses violence 100% of the time. The fact that it is only ever psychological violence is is immaterial.
I imagine there's a huge pro-dog angle in many episodes, where dogs are the heroes, or morphing a dog is what saves the day, regardless of whether it makes sense or not.
This explains so much about the stupid Mopsy plotline.
What if Jake’s not actually bad at basketball?
That is to say. What if the school coach was a Controller who deliberately kept him off the team, knowing there was already another Controller in his household, to try to push him towards joining the Sharing?
Explanations this fandom has now proposed for Jake being cut from the basketball team, in no particular order: Ellimist shenanigans. The coach hates him for some reason. Everyone's expectations for Jake were too high, thanks to Tom. Sharing shenanigans (possibly to help Temrash 114). Jake really does suck that bad.
So. To the polls!
#animorphs#CACKLING#that poor boy#anon is jake berenson in disguise trying to find excuses poor guy :(( /j
Jake-as-Anon: But if you think about it. We KNOW there was a vast alien conspiracy. So what if...
The entire fandom: Bud, we read #16 where you squashed a classmate after a failed dunk. And #49 where you missed two throws in a row at a below-height basket. And like 5 million mentions of you being "clumsy". And #11 when you said you suck at phys ed. And #6 when
Let’s not forget one of the big heroes of the Animorphs.
